Skin Needling - Skin Pen
Also known as collagen induction therapy, skin needling is the process of micro needles penetrating along the top layer of skin to create micro channels for the body’s natural wound healing response to stimulate new collagen and elastin formation. This process creates smoother, firmer, more youthful looking skin.
This deep nourishing, non-invasive treatment is used to treat a variety of skin concerns including:
reduce fine lines and wrinkles
reduce the appearance of scarring, sun damage and pigmentation
tighten and improve skin elasticity
reduce pore size
promote new collagen for skin rejuvenation.

Skin needling is considered safe for most people who are in overall good health however your treating nurse will assess you during your consultation. Once your skin is completely cleaned and dried, your nurse will apply a topical numbing cream to the areas being treated. During treatment, you will feel a vibrating sensation along the surface of the skin. The pen-like tool will create tiny pricks along the skin that you most likely will not notice post treatment. Upon completion your treating nurse will then apply a hydrating serum to the skin.
Skin needling has been proven to be more effective than microdermabrasion and chemical peels and is a preferred treatment due to the ability to resume day-to-day activities immediately following treatment.
Tip: Please do not wear makeup to your appointment

Typically, results will show in days to weeks following treatment. This process can continue for several months as collagen continues to remodel and regenerate. For optimal outcomes, multiple sessions are often recommended, spaced 3-4 weeks apart.
It's important to note that individual responses to skin needling can vary based on factors such as skin condition and the specific concern being addressed. Always follow the guidance of your treatment nurse, as they will provide personalised information based on your unique skin characteristics and treatment plan.
